Ah, I was about to add that one of my favourite proms included Tchaikovsky's Francesca da Rimini extended dramatic passage. I couldn't resist dancing my head to it, caught up in the music. I'll never forget my self-wove woollen top, weaved betwix the banks of River Cambridge and Glastonbury.

I went t the proms once but didn't like it. Although Gennady Rozhdestvensky's interpretations of Prokofiev's 5th Symphony, and Tchaikovsky's Francesca da Rimini were Magnificent. Didn't like standing up or mixing with a loads of immature toffs laughing at everything no matter what. During the Francesca da Rimini there is an extended dramatic passage, and a massive hippy looking bloke in a dirty looking woollen top, was jerking his head up and down to it to let everybody know that he knew it. If I want that sort of shit i'd go to a boyband concert. Been to hundreds of concerts since but never the Royal Albert Hall
